Jocelyn Peissel is a lighting designer. Born in 1970, he is a French national whom has lived in Spain and Mexico. He currently lives and works in Switzerland and France. Trained in industrial design (La Massana School in Barcelona & the École Cantonale de Lausanne ECAL), he has worked for architects such as Ricardo Bofill and Ronald Cecil Sportes designing luminaires.
Quickly, he specialized in architectural lighting and, in 1999, joined Citelum (part of the EDF group), for which he developed the highlighting of architecture worldwide as artistic director. In 2004, he designed the first large-scale illumination using LED technology for the Oriental Pearl Tower project in Shanghai. Between 2006 and 2013, he directed the lighting master plans of Mexico's 10 largest cities in. In 2016, he launched the lighting master plan of the city of Cali, Colombia. His projects are based on recent developments in technology, thereby making the illuminations dynamic and interconnected. With the unique experience in monumental lighting design worldwide, in 2011 he created CITY MEDIA LIGHTING ®, the first visual communications on an urban scale.
We can now see his work in Andorra, Bahrain, Colombia, South Korea, Spain, Egypt, the United States, France, Britain, Malaysia, Mexico and Turkey. In 2015, "the year of the light", he started his own company with the goal of meeting the needs and challenges of cities and to support them in their development and acknowledgement worldwide.
